During Nehemiah’s leadership he appointed two large thanksgiving choirs to offer an abundance of thanksgiving, resulting in the restoration of Jerusalem’s walls (Nehemiah 12:31, 40). The people’s thankfulness was heard outside the walls of Jerusalem as an exuberant, joyful celebration.
