Worship Percussion: “Real Drummers Don’t Play Electronic Drums” WRONG!

OCCUPATION: I am the owner of 'Hardison Group', a full service marketing firm specializing in design, print, apparel, vehicle graphics, web and e-commerce solutions, business development, corporate branding, and more. INSTRUMENT: I hang out with musicians’… In other words, I'm a drummer.

HISTORY: After high school I attended Minnesota Bible College. Following that, joined a rock band and toured for almost 5 years. After a decade without drumming, God called me to drum at my church and from then on have been involved in multiple bands and recording projects. I've been in marketing since 1994 and have worked with dozens of churches and ministries, but my true passion is music. I enjoy public speaking and preaching when given the opportunity.

Family: I have an incredible wife (Emily) and two awesome boys (Merik & Gunnar).

Although I get the argument and understand the statement, it simply isn’t true.  Some of the most well-known drummers trigger some sort of sound on their kit.  Rick Allen of Def Leppard (the world’s most famous one armed drummer) plays a totally custom electronic kit.  Half of RUSH drummer Neil Peart’s kit is electronic.  In 1985, Petra’s Louie Weaver supported electronic drums during the “Beat the System’ tour.  They’ve been around for years and they have definitely evolved.
